This is not a myth or an old wives tale told to scare kids. It is the truth! All though they have a head for a reason it is not necessary to live for a cockroach. A cockroach can live for up to a week without their head because they don’t have a standard way of breathing. They have tiny holes in their body that they use to breath. They have a very regular and simple circulation system and that makes it easy to live without a head. They are not able to eat without a head so they will eventually die from not being able to eat and will starve to death.

Cockroaches are Quick & Agile
